Crown Princess Victoria in London

A press release from November 4 regarding the then upcoming visit to the United Kingdom.


"Sweden's Minister for Trade, Ewa Björling, will join HRH Crown Princess Victoria and HRH Prince Daniel on their upcoming visit to the United Kingdom on 7-8 November.
"The creative and digital links between Sweden and the United Kingdom are becoming increasingly important in a globalised economy where competition for talent is fierce. We share an interest in enhancing the networks that tie our countries together to support our creative industries," says Dr Björling.

During the visit to London and the capital's Tech City on 7 November, the delegation will meet London's Mayor Boris Johnson, Deputy Mayor Kit Malthouse and the Lord Mayor of the City of London, Roger Gifford.

The programme includes meetings with Ms Joanna Shields, Chief Executive of Tech City, several tech companies representing Sweden's creative industries and a visit to Hackney Community College, a school on the doorstep of London's Tech City which is working with companies to help local young people get ahead in the digital industry. The delegation will also visit Level 39, Europe's largest accelerator space for finance, retail and future cities technology companies.

On Friday 8 November the Swedish delegation will visit Skanska's development at Seven Acres in Cambridge as well as Cambridge University for discussions on environment and sustainability."

Earlier today,  the Crown Princess and her husband met with Queen Elizabeth II at Buckingham Palace.  This was a private visit, which means no photographer was present. 

Princess Estelle did not accompany her parents to London.
